Ran the Century Tuna Superbods 21km using the Vivobarefoot Evo's.
I used the Vbare Aquas for the Singapore Sundown 42k, but it's my first time to use the Evo for a 21km roadrace.
Crazy time to use a barefoot shoe. I'm just recovering from asthma, and I haven't had much mileage training.
Was actually thinking last minute, if i'll use my Asics or this one. My Asics has thicker sole support, but i will tend to strike with my heels instead of mid-foot. I knew that I can attack the descents faster on my Asics, while i need to tread softly using barefoot shoes. Vivobarefoot is not a racing shoe. It's simply a barefoot shoe.
I wasn't really aiming for a PR time, so i decided to keep the Asics in the car, and wore the only barefoot Evo in a sea of 12,000 runners.

Review Summary for the Evo:
+barefoot freedom
+relaxed mid-foot strike
+lighter and better sole flexibility than the Vbarefoot Aqua's
+I love the breathable shoe material and the way it makes the water evaporate after getting soaked when I dunk water.
- can't attack the downhills fast
- not easy to switch from regular shoes to barefoot shoes
Over-all... it was a steady paced run.
